About the Bible
The Bible is the Word of God. It is infallible and is the only way of life and faith for Christians.
The Bible is made of 66 books, divided between the Old and New Testaments.
It was written by several authors who lived between 1900 BC to the first century AD, "but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2 Peter 1:21)
The first five books contain the Law of God and describe the origin of mankind, from the creation of the world to the establishment of the people of Israel in the Promised Land.
They are followed by historic, poetic (Psalms, etc.) and prophetic books. Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled, while others pertain to the future.
Next come the books of the New Testament: they tell of Jesus Christ's first appearance on Earth and the development of the Church in the first century.
